β€œThe Viennese classics have been closest to my heart since early childhood.  So, it only made sense to begin my recording career with works from this historical period.  This album, in fact, started out as an exploration into the composers influencing the young Beethoven, in order to gain a better understanding of his musical world.  Eventually, I ended up choosing a mix of lesser-known sonatas by Mozart and Haydn and two of their most famous.  The contrast between light and dark, light-hearted and stormy, was also an influencing factor in determining the repertoire for this album.”
